What Irori stores, what it sends to others, and how to delete it. Cookie-free analytics, no ads. Last updated October 28, 2026.

The short version

Irori uses self-hosted, cookie-free analytics and has no ads. Your tasks, notes, timer and settings stay in your browser unless you make an account, and then they are also stored on our server so they follow you between devices.

What stays on your device

Without an account everything is saved in your browser's local storage: tasks, notes, timer and focus sessions, favorites, streams you add, the sound mix, your theme, which boxes are open on the desk, the box opacity, and the rounded location for the weather. Clearing your browser's site data removes it. Nothing here is sent to us.

If you make an account

An account is optional. We store your email address, a hash of your password (never the password itself), and the data you sync: tasks, notes, favorites, your own stream links, focus sessions and settings. They live in a database at Cloudflare. While you are signed in your browser keeps a session cookie, and sign-in attempts are rate-limited, which means your IP address is used to count repeated attempts. You can delete your account in the Account tab of the settings; that removes the account and the data stored with it.

Site analytics

We use Umami on our own server to understand visits: pages viewed, referrers, browser and device information, language, and approximate location derived from your IP address. Requests go through Irori's own domain. The server uses your IP address and browser information to distinguish visits; analytics does not set cookies. URL query parameters and fragments are excluded. We do not send your account identity, tasks, notes or focus history to analytics.
